About The Opportunity 

Curamed is seeking an Associate Director of Translational Medicine specializing in
immuno-oncology to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your experience
in translational medicine to help advance and guide the development of our innovative
therapies for patients living with cancer.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and leads translational strategy and efforts for individual programs to help  advance Curamed’s therapeutic pipeline towards the clinic.

  • Provides oversight of the development, validation, and execution of clinical  biomarker and PK/PD assays with external CROs and actively manages vendor  relationships.

  • Drives clinical biomarker and PK/PD sample testing and data analysis in close  collaboration with clinical and development operations line functions.

  • Serves as the translational medicine lead representative to cross-functional  program teams and helps to drive integrated program development plans.

  • Leads external collaborations and sponsored research agreements that enable  translational efforts to help inform and advance our therapeutic pipeline.

  • Prepares and reviews translational medicine sections of IBs, INDs, abstracts,  manuscripts, and technical reports.

  • Leads and supports internal biomarker assay development experiments and efforts at the bench to enable patient stratification, pharmacodynamic assessment, and  clinical response prediction.

  • Provides translational scientific and strategic input into novel target identification.

  • Understands project timelines and deliverables, and plans/coordinates project  work accordingly with departmental, functional, and other stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications and past experience: 

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or other scientifically
    related field

  • 7-10 years post graduate with significant translational science research, clinical
    biomarker assay development, and clinical trial industry experience is required.

  • A strong background in immuno-oncology with experience in large molecule
    antibody development is preferred.

  • Experience across a broad number of analytical platforms including multiparameter
    FACS, multiplex immunoassay platforms, and bioanalytical assay development is
    highly desirable.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • While some flexibility may be offered, the primary expectation is for on site work at
    our Cambridge location.
